What we collect, in plain words

Short, because there is not much to say. We collect what you type into a form and nothing else.

Visiting this site

Reading these pages sets no cookies, loads no tracking scripts and runs no advertising or analytics service. Nothing about your visit is recorded by us beyond the ordinary server logs any web host keeps.

There is no consent banner on this site because there is nothing to consent to. If that ever changes, this page changes first.

If you send an enquiry

The booking enquiry form collects your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the country you are travelling from, which trip you are asking about, when you hope to travel, how many people are coming, and anything you write in the message box. We use it to answer you and to plan the trip. That is all.

We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone outside the small group who arranges the trips, other than the local operators who need to know a booking exists in order to host it.

Enquiries are kept while the conversation is live and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to it. Ask us to delete yours and we will, without asking why.

If you use the donation form

It collects your name, email address, the country you are giving from, the kind of gift you have in mind and an optional size band, plus anything you write in the message box. No payment is taken and no card or bank details are requested anywhere on this site. We use what you send only to reply to you about how to give.

If you are recorded

Field recordings are covered by a separate and stricter agreement made in person, which sets out what is being recorded, what it may be used for, and who keeps a copy. Consent there can be withdrawn afterwards, and withdrawing it removes the material. Nothing on this page overrides that agreement.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. One email is enough and there is no form to fill in.

This page describes how we actually behave. It is written in plain language rather than legal drafting, and it is not a substitute for the formal notice a lawyer would produce for a specific jurisdiction.
